Australias Walk & Jog (the ‘Event’) is an initiative of Dementia Australia to raise funds to support people impacted by Dementia.

The Event opens on 12 May 2025 and ends on 26 May 2025.

By registering for the Event, the participant (18 years or older), acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

General:

1. The decision to participate in the Event is entirely your own and you take full responsibility for any consequence of your participation in the Event for yourself and/or your participants.
2. Any content (e.g. photos and text) you post to the website (your fundraising page) is your responsibility, and you must have the necessary rights to post that content (including the consent of others who feature in the content). Dementia Australia retains the right to delete any content posted.
3. You acknowledge that Dementia Australia reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions of the Event at any time.

Fundraising:

1. You acknowledge that by registering for the Event, you pledge to raise funds for Dementia Australia. 
2. All fundraising conducted for this Event comes under Dementia Australia's authority to fundraise in the respective State or Territory in Australia and you agree to be bound by the relevant state and national fundraising legislation.
3. Dementia Australia can refund a donation made in error. If you wish to request a refund, please contact Australia's Walk & Jog team via memorywalk@dementia.org.au

Privacy:

1. Dementia Australia respects and is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information it collects.
2. Dementia Australia will collect your personal information and any other information you may volunteer so that we can: administer and conduct the Event; and keep you informed about Dementia Australia, its fundraising activities and the important work you are supporting.
3. Dementia Australia may use your image, name and challenge result in any promotion relating to this Event, including in the Leaderboards and/or on the Event website.

Prizes:

1. You must be registered to Australia's Walk & Jog, to be eligible for any prizes.
2. You must reach specified fundraising milestones to be eligible to receive prizes.
3. Prizes cannot be redeemed or exchanged for any other products. 
4. Prizes cannot be reissued if incorrect address details are provided at registration.
5. Prizes are limited and available until stocks last.

Authority to Fundraise:

Agreement to these terms and conditions gives the registered Australia's Walk & Jog participant authority to fundraise in support of the work of Dementia Australia for the following fundraising event:
